CenturyLink Email Is Not Working :- A Quick Tutorial

Life before email was simple. But now, it is hard to get anything done without email -- mainly when you are unable to send or receive messages.

Such problems are easy to solve. All you need is guidance. Please begin with these tricks:

1 - Please check if your internet connection is working.

Check whether the issue is specific to your email account. Check if you’re able to access other websites from your web browser. Restart your router and device (you're using ) and see if your email starts working.

2 - Please ensure you are using the correct email server settings.

If you’re accessing your email through an email client or app, check if you’ve entered your complete email address as your user name. Check the incoming (POP/IMAP) and outgoing (SMTP) server address and ports.  

Make sure you have entered your email address and password correctly. If nothing works, please remove and manually configure your email. If that doesn't works, please continue with the next way to fix problem sending or receiving mail.

3 - Please check if your password is working.

Launch a web browser to sign into your CenturyLink email account. Don’t forget, passwords are case sensitive. If you can’t sign in to your CenturyLink email account due to forgotten password, please reset it.

4 - Make sure there is no security conflict.

Verify you do not have a security conflict caused by your antivirus program or firewall installed on your device. To check if this is the problem, please temporarily disable your antivirus software and firewall. Check if your email account is working. Try to send a test email to yourself.  Turn your antivirus program and firewall on when you're done testing.

5 - Please verify the size limit of your mailbox.

Please verify that your email inbox is not full. If your inbox is full, you won't be able to send and receive emails until you make space. Sign in to your email account and check the status indicator. If you have reached your email box limit, delete some email messages to free up space for more email.

Limit of email size: 20MB

Limit of email sent: 100 contacts

Limit of webmail send: 100 per hour

Limit of SMTP send: 500 per hour

Limit of IP based email send: 50 per 5 minutes

Delete the unimportant and unnecessary email messages in your Inbox, Sent, Drafts, Deleted, Trash and Outgoing folders. Delete the email messages with large attachments -- mainly ones containing videos and images. Hope the tricks presented above are helpful.
